Custom Optics — How a Quote Works

Send a drawing or a paragraph. Either way, an engineer answers with a proposal.

Two Lanes

Lane A — you have a drawing. We return a design-for-manufacture review: which tolerances are holding cost up, which can loosen without hurting the assembly, and a tiered price with NRE stated. If our metrology cannot verify a callout, we say so before you pay for it.

Lane B — you have a function. "Block the pump laser, pass the signal band, 25 mm square, 500 pieces." We return a coating design proposal with center wavelength, edge steepness and blocking budgeted, plus a tolerance plan you can sign. The design conversation is the cheap part of the program — have it before you lock a spec.

Then prototypes (one to two weeks), a pilot lot with data pack, and a production ramp with price breaks you saw coming. Second-source qualification welcome: your drawing stays yours, and our engineering answers in writing.
